Seoul, Kpop Concert & Nugee's place!

It's mid August so that means summer is slowly ending and FALL is around the corner! I feel like I have been on vacation forever now! I finally met Choua, another cousin living and teaching here in South Korea! Nugee, Choua and I taking a quick picture before our lunch at DINER's I think....It was one of the best burger I have had here in KOREA...

I think this is my first time at a FOREVER 21 outside of the US! Other than CANADA... It basically was the same except the prices! It goes up a few thousand wons...which is a few dollars! I only got a few items from this mini vacation!

So after lunch and a little shopping, the whole point of this trip was to visit Nugee, but we got on a list to go see the K POP concert! Little did we know that it was not in Seoul and it was in INCHEON! So from the World Cup Stadium, we had to get over to Incheon in an hour! So we thought about it and we were going to taxi over, but the fastest n quickest way to get there.... Got on the subway and got to the closest, well almost, then got in a taxi and got there at exactly 4:15 PM... It was about a 30,000 won cab ride and the show was priceless!!!! I am beginning to like K pop and my fave songs are by 2NE1, "Lonely, and UGLY."

There were so many groups there, and some that I have never heard of before! And then there was 2 PM, I recently discover that one of the member is Thai and he is kinda cute! So he is my Thai K POP boy! "Oh my boy, oh my boy!"

And then the last group to go up! Super Junior! So much fun and enough Kpop to last me a lifetime and now I find myself listening to KPOP...It is quite good...a few songs at least!

More shopping and lunch with all the HMONG friends/ cousins in Seoul. Leftover eggrolls on the grill....Great idea and yum yum with Korean BBQ....

Seoul always a joy to visit and leave...we shall meet again to shop again before I go home.... Still counting down the days here in South Korea and I will miss all the friends that I have made here.

K POP 2NE1 CONCERT!!!

I will have to update this blog once I am back from it, but while in JEJU, Nugee gets a call that we got tickets to go see 2NE1 live!!! I am not a huge fan, but going to a K POP concert was on my to do list here in KOREA.

So Nugee and I have been listening to their music so we can be ready, but it is so hard to remember the lyrics!

I remember lonely lonely lonely.....and lilli lolli lollipop! Boy I want to buy u a lollipop???

I am not even sure if that is how it goes! And they do have a song that says...

I know I am ugly....strange lyrics, but who knows these KONLISH words....

Will post up pictures and tell you all how it went! I love going to concerts, so we'll see how they differ from American concerts!

2NE1 here we come!!!

Also only 3 more months here in SOUTH KOREA

I am excited to go home and see what awaits for me, but I know it is going to be bittersweet leaving.

Jeju-do Island! 제주도/濟州島

Finally arrived in Jeju and officially on vacation! It felt like I was on vacation forever because the girls were over and we had a blast! But as I was flying out of Busan, Gimhae Airport, I forgot how much I miss flying! I love flying as I have mentioned before! It's the feeling of going to a new place and see what else there is to this amazing world, EARTH! The palm trees made me think of HOME....

We went to LOVE LAND!!! I love hearts!!! It's so cute!!! After 5 minutes of arriving it poured on us!!! Like heavy rain kinda... a bummer, but we made the best of it! :) After we went to eat at an Indian restaurant in Jeju, it was delicious that we went back a second time!

Food and more food....seems like all we did was plan our day to eat and eat!!!

The view of our beach! But our time there was short due to the Typhoon warning! But boy did we all have the best time there!!! Too much fun and poor May, always getting hurt somehow.

So pictures from the night before wasn't great, but we went on the beach at like midnight after rearranging some flights, rescheduling, canceling and re purchasing! I think I might change profession now to be a flight canceler? Is there such a profession? But we basicially went n played in the water and snuck in a few games! Truth n Dare and I never!

So we left and went to Susun's place and ate samgyeopsa....Love it....there were 5 girls and we ordered 7 orders! We love our meat!!

What is there to do on an island when there is a typhoon warning? What other than a jijibong? For those of you who do not know what it is..it is basically where Koreans go and shower and eat and hang out in the many different rooms.... sauna, fire room, spa, fitness room, eat and PC rooms!!! I have never been to one, but there is always a first time for everything!!! So while we were there, I got DIPPIN' DOTS!! It was great....and stayed in the Sauna for awhile and ate eggs...hard boiled eggs....500 won each! No camera, but we got a few shots!

Monday morning comes and the sun is out and about!!! We went to the beach so we can get some JEJU sun before we all leave this wonderful island that has not been so great for us, weather wise!

Jeju Island....we will be back in a few years!!! After a few days here, we all have a love and hate relationship, but we will miss you!

Amazing-ling August

The months and weeks and days here in South Korea are going by faster and faster...It is already August and by the time I am ready to not leave this place, it will be time to leave! Finally Nugee and I hung out and spent a whole week together doing things we would never do at home. We literally went out every night and hung out with friends here in Hadong! First, pho in Jinju and Home Plus, then we finished the day at Baskin Robins!

It was definitely beautiful and different from Haeundae Beach....I love beaches regardless!

We walked around and found a shady spot then ordered chicken on the beach!

We had a little fun bbq up on my hilltop....late night dinner.....It is so pretty up there! Especially with chicken and veggies and mini hotdogs. May and her sister Mary finally arrived after a four hour ride!

While I was away at work, they went out on a little adventure in my town, courtesy of Nugee...She was their tour guide! Then they went home to cook dinner and we had a dinner party at my house!

Our last night together we went out n got pizza and more Makoli to drink!!! I had so much fun ladies!!! It was like a mini vacation even though I still had to work and u guys went out in my town! Thank you for cooking and all, I cannot wait to join you guys in Jeju....

South Korea, I may miss you when I am back in the states!!!

3 more months to go and I am scared of going back to my normal life! I was just beginning to like my KOREAN normal life!!! I will def miss all the friends I have made here!!! Can't wait to go into Seoul and go tour Nugee's town!

Random Summer in Haodng

So Summer is ending or we are approaching mid summer! I have not done much because I have been working and traveling to lots of new places and old places to see my friends here in KOREA... It just makes me miss home that much more because it is definitely not the same! I miss my family, cousins and friends in the USA......But then what would be be doing if I were there?

Growing up we have been busier with life and in general we just have more priorities than grabbing a bite or a drink, but we always manage to do so and they are life's little JOY....

Also summer means no swimming at AL's for me because I am here, but I sure do miss our pool parties! We always know how to have fun and live in the moment....Good times with the pool and I will still jump in in December!

Countdown begins!!!

Nugee is visiting Hadong in one day!

One week til Jeju Island!

Two weeks til I visit Nugee!

Three weeks til we celebrate kou's Birthday in Busan!

Six weeks until Chusok....Visiting Maychee before she goes home!

Twelve weeks til Halloween!

Fifteen weeks til Thailand!

Seventeen weeks until I am officially HOME!!!

Then Vegas here we come again? We should just pretend like it's all of our Birthdays because I missed everyone and I would sure like to celebrate like we never aged a year older!

3 more months in this country and I am sad that I will be leaving, but who knows what's in my book, I might be back to travel more of the Asian countries....No I am not coming back for the Korean guys! Maychee Lo and I are always discussing what we are going to do when we go back home? Real life will hit us and we are just going to let it!

Out and About in Korea

This past weekend I had Pho with some friends in Jinju and came back to celebrate Nicole's early birthday with her and the Hadong foreigners' gang!!! Playing Slosh ball....

Invited my Director because he has been asking me what I do and I told him that we play baseball....So he asked if he and his friends can play with us....So they came along n we ended the night with Dinner and more drinking....

Lesson learned.....no drinking with the BOSS.....How embarrassing!

But O well....

On a different note...Maychee is leaving Korea and I am beginning to feel home sick because life here is just really boring...at times......I only have about 3 months left and I hope it comes fast.....I know there are times where I am like " I might wanna stay another year, but today it's like I MISS HOME and wanna go home ASAP."

I was talking to ONG, my cousin and telling her that it is so weird because I am always skyping with her at my house and it's weird!!! Because I am not there.

I can't wait for the many little trips coming up and Nugee and May visiting me in a week...Then Jeju with Maychee and the girls...Then finally visit Nugee and spend some quality cousin time together!

8 Months and Weekend Getaways!

Only 4 more months left here in this Country!!! I cannot believe how fast it has been...I gotta say I am enjoying it more and more each day, but I do feel like I need to go home and stay awhile!

Nothing feels like home, the family, the friends, and food...Home made!!!

So everyone was posting about TRANSFORMER 3 and last weekend, I finally saw it in Daegu with Maychee, Cece and Sheng! It was so sad, I almost cried when Bumble Bee was gonna get killed!

Then on the way home had to stop by and look at Cece's man....He is the owner of a Korean Italian Restaurant......He is handsome...I was starring at him and our waiter at the Teddy Bear shop!!! After 8 months and finally two cute Korean guys!

So we had to get a picture since we won't be visiting anytime soon!! His name was Ku Ja Tae? Then off we went home and stopped by Leiolie for some quick make up.... trying new products..

I spent less than $20 so it was all worth it!

Beautiful GEOCHANG, where Cece lives! But she will be moving so no more going to that town...But all Korean towns look the same!!

Then this past weekend I went to Daejeon and met more Hmong people! As I am writing this, I am late on my 8 months so like only 3 and a half months left because I have been super busy and haven't had time to post anything up!!
